Mixtape: The Suburban Plaza Presents: Jerry Rescue!!! - Forward: A Hip-Hop Soundtrack to Election Day in Monroe County

"Use your political and economic power for the community and others less fortunate. Vote and hold those you vote for accountable... Any American who cannot bother to vote and who thinks that a single vote does not matter is letting America down. In a democratic society...if we don't like what our political leaders are doing we must make that clear through our voices and our votes. But we cannot accomplish that staying at home. Together at the polls we can accomplish a new direction for America...

Voting and working in government are only two ways to serve. Diverse opportunities for young people to serve their communities can play a major role in restoring hope and moral example to our nation." Marian Wright Edelman (Edelman, Marian. The Measure of Our Success: A Letter to My Children and Yours. p. 66-67)

In preparation for Election Day, Jerry Recuse!!! has decided to drop a surprise mixtape entitled Forward: A Hip-Hop Soundtrack to Election Day in Monroe County. The entire collection of tracks centers around the Democratic Party both nationally and within Rescue's local political arena of Monroe County. Although politics may be a off-putting, Rescue embraces the topic with the hope of educating local Monroe County residents on the decisions that will effect them more directly.
